Our Head Office is in Richards Bay, with branches in Johannesburg and Durban as well as associate representation in Maputo for all Mozambique Ports, although due to our proximity to Maputo much of this work is conducted directly by Ronin Independent Surveyors. • Ronin Independent Surveyors Pty (Ltd) carries out all types of Marine and Cargo related survey work as an Independent. Representing a number of clients including: Ship Owners, Charterers, Shippers Receivers, Stevedores, Flag States as well as other International Inspection Companies, both at Port and Inland locations.
• All of our Marine Survey services are conducted by Master Mariners who also act as Super Cargo/Port Captains , when required.
• We conduct Marine Surveys on all types of Ships and offer survey services for cargo loading/unloading, cleanliness, lashing and securing. These survey services are provided for steel, scrap, vehicles, liquids, gas and grains as well as bulk, project and containerised cargoes.

• Other services include on /off hire, accident and injury assessments and pre-purchase surveys. We Cover tally and inspection work as well as sizing and sampling of cargoes, with particular reference to coal in Richards Bay as well as third party monitoring.
• One of our particular areas of excellence is our interdiction and oversight service for bulk commodity cargoes in the port wherein we assure a rapid turnaround of transport, maintain disciplined stockpiling procedures to ensure commodity identity preservation during off-loading and loading as well as general oversights of the supply chain in order to mitigate risk and cost creep.
• Another of our areas of expertise is our bulk quantity surveying solutions employs leading edge. technology allowing rapid and accurate volume determinations of bins, bunkers and stockpiles.
